One chemical plant produces acid toxic gas in their main reaction, in the process, NaOH solution is used to neutralize toxic gas. To control the concentration of the solution, process people need to know the real-time result of the consumption. When it comes to the low limitation, the plant can exchange the gas pipe line to the other new fresh NaOH solution tank.
In this project, we use inline NIR method to monitor the concentration of NaOH, NaOH model has been optimized, the result is updated less than 1 minute, it helps customer to switch the toxic gas to the fresh NaOH tank with very short time and close to the low limitation. Compared with the previous lab analysis method, inline NIR gives much more quick response, and also reduce the use of toxic chemical solutions of titration.
